in rachel's opinions, girls are not being overboard by wanting good-looking and intelligent guys.
girls do that because they think of the future, and they love their future children. that is why they want smart and handsome guys.

if a guy is smart, he will bear smart kids. and with his intelligence, he can further nurture the children into the crim of the crop of the nation. his intelligence also brings in a stable income for his family and also BETTER family planning. HENCE, provides them with a comfortable and desirable environment to grow and develop.

AND if the guy is good-looking as well, KACHING, there goes the bonus points! the children not only would be intelligent and well brought up, they will be good-looking as well, as they would 50% most likely get the daddy's genes! ARENT THAT WONDERFUL!!! (((:
and if they are good-looking, they would be better-poised and more confident. although looks actually DONT matter so much, if the kids are good looking, they would be wanted to breed the next generation of intelligent and good looking people, hence THE CYCLE GOES ROUND!!!

hence i SUPPOSE we girls are not being very selfish when we look out for cute and smart guys. not because we think of ourselves, but because we think of others, our CHILDREN! see. this is a TRUE mother's nature, by thinking of their children before themselves.
